For a increase in performance from our SUT-1, we offer the highest level
of performance found in a SUT (Step Up Transformer) we would like to
offer the "H" series of Step Up Transformers.
The "H" Series of SUTs are
designed around the top line Hashimoto transformers, offering a very
high end approach to Moving Coil amplification. Our design has attempted
to maintain a very logical process of using the finest components and
minimal signal deterioration. The transformers are mounted in an
Anodized Aluminum enclosure measuring 2MM thick. Along with the high
quality Cardas and WBT RCA jacks, 6N Oxygen Free Copper internal wiring and premium contacts on the selector switches
and Mumetal Shielding the "H" Series are build using the finest of
components and it really shows in their musical presentation.
The listening test with various cartridges such as Koetsu, Benz-Micro, Ortofon,
Dynavector
and Denon has shown that the "H" Series offers a very wide, deep and
detailed sound stage, all while being the very quietest SUT we have ever
built. The "H" series is offered in two
configurations using both the Hashimoto HM-3 and the glorious HM-7 offering exceptional quality and value in all. Please

All lettering is laser etched for
permeability.

Recommendation for use: Loading/Gain Cartridge
matching
2-7 ohms +32dB: Recommended for cartridges with an
internal impedance between 2 and 7 ohms
7-40 ohms +26dB: Recommended for cartridges with an
internal impedance between 7 and 40 ohms
Example: Denon DL-103R with an Internal/Output
Impedance of 14 Ohms, would fit into the 7-40 ohm range.
Cartridge/SUT matching can be very confusing if only
the recommended Loading is concentrated on. For example a Cartridge Manufacturer
may suggest a Loading Impedance of >100 ohms, does this mean 101, 150 or 300
ohms? Or will 95 ohms work as well? With manufactures offering vague
specifications for loading, let's use the one specification that is exact, the
Internal/Output Impedance of the Coils are always listed by manufacturers as a
precise and exact specification. The Engineers at Hashimoto has taken the guess
work out of the loading equation and designed purpose built transformers with
the specific purpose to be used as a Low Output Moving Coil Step Up
Transformers. In using the specific rating of a cartridge's Internal Impedance
as the base number, they have simplified the process. This theory has proven to
offer outstanding performance for various manufacturers such as Benz-Micro,
Denon, Dynavector, Koetsu, Lyra and Ortofon.
