ISO-Platter
The Choir Audio ISO-Platter is designed to eliminated unwanted micro
vibrations from the playing surface, while maintaining the rigid and dynamic
properties needed for exceptional playback.
The ISO-Platter is handcrafted and precision ground from tempered glass,
while tempered glass has excellent properties for reducing unwanted resonant
frequencies, it also has the necessary rigidity to allow very dynamic
playback.
The tempered glass, is further enhanced by the application of proprietary
isolation disk mounted in a precise geometric patterns on either side of the
platter. The isolation disk are manufactured to meet our specifications
based on the desired Shore Ratings (hardness of compounds are measured in
different Shore ratings).
The disk themselves are mounted on both sides of the platter, both offering
added isolation and at the same time maintaining the rigid properties needed
to deliver dynamic playback.
The ISO-Platter will mount on the majority of existing tables and platters.
User will need to have the ability to adjust tonearm VTA to compensate for
the additional height of the playing surface.
